Who We Are


Gateway High School, in Aurora Public Schools District 28J, is a public, comprehensive high school with an enrollment of approximately 1,800 students in grades nine through twelve. Our demographic breakdown is as follows: Hispanic- 64.5%; White 7.8%; Black or African- American 18.1%; Asian- 4.2%; American Indian- 1.0%; Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander- 0.8%; 2 or more races 3.6%.

Courses are comprehensive, ranging in scope from college preparatory to honors or advanced placement. Concurrent with classes at the home high school, students can attend the District's career/technical school, participate in the ProStart culinary arts program or earn an Associate of Applied Sciences degree in cooperation with the Community College of Aurora.
