About Me
My name is Pamela Long and I am so excited to be teaching at Gateway High School! I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and grew up in an orphanage in Curitiba - you'll learn a lot about those experiences in my life as we embark in our journey together. At ten years old, I was adopted and began my new life in North Carolina. I am a UNCW graduate with a Master's in Language and Literacy Specialization. Most of my educational pedagogies and practices focus on research-based theories such as Third Space Learning and Funds of Knowledge.
