Communities in Schools

Gateway High School > Resources > Communities in Schools

The mission of Communities In Schools at Gateway is to surround students with a supportive community, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

By providing students with one-on-one caring relationships, we offer support in areas such as academic achievement, basic needs, mental health, positive behavior, and life skills.

In collaboration with teachers, staff, and community partners, we work with students and their families to identify the most critical gaps or needs that may create barriers toward success in school. Together, we help students build the necessary skills to stay in school, graduate and succeed in life.

Meet our students and staff. We know you’ll love them.

We’re not just a group of buildings where students come to learn. We’re a family that cares about the success of every individual. We’re located in Aurora and welcome all students — those in our district and beyond. We have an open enrollment process and typically take applications from January through May. Visit us and see for yourself why Gateway is a great place to learn!
