Steven Vaughn, PhD

Performing Arts Orchestra Teacher

I am passionate about helping students further their love of music and become life-long musicians. I enjoy getting to watch students express their emotions through music and grow as young adults through the friendships made in music classes.

About Me

I am a professional musician and enjoy maintaining an active performing life outside of school. I play Principal Tuba with the Fort Collins Symphony and Solo Euphonium with Colorado Brass. I also teach at the University of Northern Colorado as Adjunct Professor of Euphonium. Outside of music, I enjoy playing video games and am an amateur home brewer. My wife and I have 3 pets, 2 dogs named Olivia and Molly, and a cat named Bruce. We enjoy spending time with our dogs at the dog park and traveling.
