“WITH OUR THOUGHTS, WE MAKE THE WORLD.” – THE BUDDHA (SIDDHĀRTHA GAUTAMA)

About Me

Hello, my name is Ms. Sabo, and I teach ELD – levels 1 & 4. I am so grateful for the opportunity to teach at Gateway, and I am looking forward to getting to know all of my new students and their families this year.

Everyone has a right to education, and education is power. I teach because I believe in the power of education to bring about a more peaceful and equitable world, with safety and liberty for all. Through education, we develop future leaders who will overcome some of the greatest problems facing our world today. Although we cannot say what the future holds, we know our children will be responsible for shaping it, and it is our responsibility, as educators, to prepare them for this task.

I strive to act as a guide for my students as they learn, and I use a flexible, culturally responsive, and student-centered approach in my lessons. Ultimately, I teach because of the students, and I look forward to seeing everyone in class!
