Hello Olys!
We had a great time at the 2025 Latinos In Action Conference! Your Gateway LIA Olys represented well! Among the many highlights:
1. Sayda Ortiz-Sarmiento and Laura Bayadares received Honorable Mention awards for their art submissions for this year’s theme Progress and Not Perfection. We used Sayda’s design for our new LIA T-shirts! Check them out featured on the Instagram post from LIA Official below.
2. Gateway swept the Jeopardy game on Latino foods, famous people, culture, and history.
3. Our LIA leadership team Alexa Hernandez, Alexa Rivera, Karen Barrientos Torres, Mia Huerta, and Cielo Bejar Fernandez earned Gold Pins for their participation in Masterminds.
