Culture Week 2026

Hello Olys!

We are excited to share that this year’s Culture Week will take place Monday, February 2 through Thursday, February 5.

This year, Culture Week was primarily planned by our culture clubs across the school, and we are grateful for their leadership, creativity, and collaboration in making this week meaningful for our community.

From Monday through Thursday, there will be daytime and evening activities, along with a daily spirit day, all planned and initiated by our culture clubs.

Culture Week Schedule Overview:

  • Monday February 2nd

    • Spirit Day: International Sports Day

    • Daytime Activity: LIA - Colombian Masks during A&B Lunch in room 913.

    • Evening Activity: BSA - Trivia Night from 3:45-5pm in the commons. $2 entry fee with prizes. 

  • Tuesday February 3

    • Spirit Day: Culture Throwback Day

    • Daytime Activity: HBCU (Historically Black College and University) Panel during A Lunch in the Lecture Hall

    • Evening Activity: AAPI - Lantern Creation after school in the library. $3 cost. 

  • Wednesday February 4

    • Spirit Day: Cultural Icon Day

    • Daytime Activity: LIA - Latin American History Panel during B lunch in the Lecture Hall.

    • Daytime Activity: AAPI - Red Envelope Game during A&B Lunch in the commons. 

    • Evening Activity: MINA - Taste of Gateway during conferences in the library. $2 for 4 taste tickets. 

  • Thursday

    • Spirit Day: Traditional Wear

    • Daytime Activity: ASSEMBLY AM SCHEDULE

    • Evening Activity: LULAC - La Loteria Night 4pm-7pm in the library. $1 Entrance Fee.

For the first time, Gateway will also be hosting the Taste of Gateway, hosted by Gateway’s MINA. We encourage staff to participate by bringing a dish that represents their culture to share with our community. Don't forget to stop by and try some culture!
