Social Studies
I am first, and foremost, student-centered. This school exists because of students. I teach because of students. There are two goals that drive my teaching. First, I will prepare my students for graduation and for success in college. Second, and perhaps most important, I want students to be empowered and engaged citizens-in their local, state, national, and international communities. This includes the knowledge and skills to engage with others for "a more perfect union." Let's make this a great year!
About Me
I've taught for 20 years in South Carolina, Virginia, Washington, DC, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Colorado. I'm also always finding new ways to increase my teaching skills and currently I am in graduate school. I also enjoy baking, reading, and hiking when I get some downtime from schoolwork.
