Living in America as an immigrant, I, almost all the time, find myself needing more time to process new information in English. I long for inner encouragement to get comfortable with situations that I have not faced before. Students who require more time with more guidance remind me of my struggles. Students who build a different identity with English remind me of who I have been. The diversity that Gateway blossoms is unique. I am grateful to be a member of Gateway, a community of ours. "Slow and steady wins the race."
About Me
I grew up in Busan, Korea with my mom, dad, and two older brothers. I went to Seoul, Korea for a college and worked there as an English teacher. After getting married to my Coloradan husband, I came to Colorado in 2018.
