“John Wooden, the legendary basketball coach, says you aren’t a failure until you start to blame. What he means is that you can still be in the process of learning from your mistakes until you deny them.”

About Me

My name is Kelley McNally and I am a Denver native. I have one daughter, Addie, who is 8 years old. She also attends school in the APS community and LOVES it! This is my 20th year in education. My career started in Day Treatment facilities, where I supported students with serious emotional needs. From there, my educational journey took me to a facility in Aurora that supported students that had dual diagnosis' (primarily Autism and Mental Health disorders) in addition to conduct disorders. I then was seeking a new challenge and that's where my teaching career started in APS almost 14 years ago. I began at Wheeling Elementary School, then worked for APS Exceptional Student Services Department as an Instructional Coach, before teaching Science at Aurora Hills Middle School, and now her in the ESS department at Gateway. Many of the students here I have known anywhere from Pre-K to 8th grade, so I am thrilled to see them grown up and achieving at their full academic potential. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful and talented daughter, taking trips to the mountains, and hanging out with family and friends.
