Teacher
Freshmen Seminar

I love teaching Freshman Seminar at Gateway High School because I get to be part of the very first chapter in my students’ high school story. Freshman year is such an important time, and I get to help set the tone for their next four years.

About Me

I’ve spent 11 years in public education, teaching in both New Jersey and Colorado. I’ve taught Social Studies (6th–11th), 9th grade AAA, and Financial Literacy (6th–9th). Outside of school, you can find me traveling, hiking, kayaking, biking, or spending time with my husband and our three dogs.

Over the years in education, I’ve loved getting involved in all different aspects of school life. I’ve been the 9th grade class advisor, served on the social committee, coached girls’ soccer, run the yearbook and newspaper club, and participated in volunteer organizations focused on community service. I enjoy finding new ways to connect with students and the school community — every year, I like to try something new and take on a fresh challenge.
