Gateway’s annual talent/ prom fashion show is this Wednesday March 15th in the auditorium. The show starts at 6pm and features some of the greatest talent at Gateway High School. Make sure you are there to help us decide who will win this year’s show. We will also be announcing the prom theme and location at the show, with some other big surprises you will only know about if you attend! Tickets are $5.00! Are you 16 years or older and a Colorado resident? Did you know that makes you eligible to register to vote! New Era Colorado, a nonpartisan organization with the mission of helping young people engage in politics, will be here until Wednesday helping Olys register to vote for upcoming elections. Stop by their table at first and main or in the commons to find out more about registering to vote and ways young people who are not old enough to vote yet can get involved in the political process. - Freshman will be taking the PARCC English/Language Arts Exam
- Sophomores will be taking the PSAT
- Juniors will be taking SATs.
- Seniors on April 11th you be participating in a Future Fair where you have a chance to meet with different individuals about job opportunities, speak with college officials, go on college visits, job shadow, and other options for the day! More information to come during your senior meeting on March 21st.
Any student hoping to earn FREE COLLEGE CREDIT through the Community College of Aurora must sign up to take the Accuplacer test. The sign-up for this test is now available on Gateway’s homepage under the counseling tab. Please be aware that students must register for this test through the link on that page. This must be done no later than Thursday February 23rd. Please see your counselor for more information.
Seniors…. It is very important that you let your counselor know about any scholarship money you have been offered, even if you don’t plan on accepting a scholarship, we want to know about it. We keep track of how much money each class is offered. The class of 2016 got over a million dollars, how much can the class of 2017 get?
